PERTH, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Rio Tinto and Hancock Prospecting will invest $1.61 billion (Rio Tinto share $0.8 billion) to develop the Hope Downs 2 iron ore project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
